Privacy Policy

Effective November 5, 2026

  • Your photos stay on your device. SwipeAway does not upload them.
  • The app has no user accounts.
  • We use third-party services to manage subscriptions, measure app usage, and measure advertising. They receive device, usage, and purchase information.
  • You can turn off tracking in your device settings.

This policy explains how Wesley Bosman, based in the United States ("we," "us"), handles information when you use the SwipeAway mobile app (the "App") and this website.

1. Your photos

The App asks for access to your photo library so you can review, keep, bookmark, and delete photos and videos. This happens on your device. We do not upload, copy, or store your photos or videos on any server, and we never see them.

When you delete a photo, the App asks your device to move it to the Recently Deleted album in the Photos app.

2. Information stored on your device

The App saves your settings, your cleanup statistics, your bookmarks, and a record of photos you chose to keep. This information stays on your device. Deleting the App removes it.

If you allow notifications, the App may send cleanup reminders and alerts when your storage is running low. It checks your device's free space on your device to do this.

3. Information collected through third parties

The App uses the services below. Each one handles information under its own privacy policy.

ServiceWhy we use itInformation involved
RevenueCat Managing subscriptions An anonymous app user ID, purchase and subscription status, and device and app information
Singular App analytics and measuring advertising Device and advertising identifiers (when permitted), IP address, device and app information, ad campaign information, and App activity such as subscription screen views, purchases, failed purchases, and counts of photos reviewed, kept, and deleted and storage space saved
Meta Measuring and improving advertising Device and advertising identifiers (when permitted), device and app information, and App events such as app opens, trial starts, and subscriptions
Apple Processing App Store payments Payment details, which Apple handles. We do not receive your card information.

The usage information above is limited to counts and events. It does not include your photos or information about what is in them.

4. Information you send us

If you email us, we receive your email address and anything you include in your message. We use it to respond to you.

5. How we use information

  • To provide the App and manage your subscription
  • To understand how the App is used and improve it
  • To measure whether our advertising works
  • To respond to support requests
  • To comply with the law and protect our rights

6. Tracking and your choices

On iPhone, the App asks for permission before accessing your device's advertising identifier. You can change your answer at any time in Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking. If you decline, your advertising identifier is not shared, but the App may still send the other usage and purchase information described above.

On Android devices, you can reset or delete your advertising ID in your device settings. You can also turn off photo access and notifications in your device settings at any time.

7. Sharing of information

We do not sell your information for money. We share information with the service providers listed above, and when required by law or needed to protect our rights. If the App is sold or transferred, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

Sharing identifiers and App activity with advertising partners may count as "selling" or "sharing" personal information under some US state privacy laws. To opt out, decline tracking as described in section 6 or email us.

8. Data retention

We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes in this policy or as required by law. Our service providers retain information according to their own policies. Support emails are kept as long as needed to help you and maintain our records.

9. Security

We use reasonable measures to protect information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

10. Children

The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

11. Your rights

Depending on where you live, including certain US states, the European Economic Area, and the United Kingdom, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your personal information, and to object to or opt out of certain uses. To make a request, email us. Because the App has no accounts, we may need information from you to find any data related to you. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

12. Where information is processed

We are based in the United States, and our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries where data protection laws may differ from those where you live.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post changes on this page and update the effective date above.
